Hangzhou–Huangshan Intercity Railway : ウィキペディア英語版 | Hangzhou–Huangshan Intercity Railway Hangzhou–Huangshan Intercity Railway () or Hanghuang ICR () is a dual-track, electrified, high-speed rail line under construction in eastern China between Hangzhou and Huangshan. The line will run through Zhejiang and southern Anhui province and will accommodate trains traveling at speeds up to .〔〔 Travel time from Hangzhou to Huangshan will be reduced to about one and one-half hour.〔 The line would be the first rail link between the two cities and would bring counties in mountainous southern Anhui closer to the Yangtze River Delta region. Construction began on June 30, 2014 and may be completed by the end of 2017 or the beginning of 2018.〔 ==Route== The high speed rail line will connect southern Anhui Province with the Hangzhou, on the eastern seaboard, via northwestern Zhejiang province. Cities and towns along route will include Hangzhou, Fuyang, Tonglu (桐庐), Xiaoshan, Jiande, Chun’an in Zhejiang, and Jixi, She County, and Huangshan in Anhui.〔 At its eastern terminus, Hangzhou, the line will link to the high speed rail lines to Shanghai and Nanjing. At its western terminus, Huangshan, the line connects to the Hefei-Fuzhou Passenger Designated Railway Line. Scenic sites along route include Huangshan (Yellow Mountain), the ancient villages in southern Anhui, Qiandao Lake, and Hangzhou.
